Andreina Garcia- Day 17- 31daysofWomen

“When I think about something I would say to my younger self it would be to always do your best. Always do what you think is right for you. And when you do something do it because you want to, wholeheartedly, without wanting the recognition, accolades in return. Those are just added bonus. The one you need to always make happy is yourself! “~ Andreina Garcia, Educator, Writer and Blogger. Creator/Founder of Beauty, Brains & Blogging.
I met Andreina while attending my first NYCLWG meeting.
I recalled her being very quiet but always with a welcoming smile. That day we shared our writing stories and by the end of the meeting she encouraged me to keep writing and sign up for my first writing workshop, which I did.
She always had great feedback for my story and together we read for the first time at the Sankofa Sisterhood event.
Andreina is that type of person who always see the good on everyone and what I call “the voice of reason”; she constantly looks for a different perspective in any situation and for a solution.
She was a great supporter (and still is) of Canvas of Words who donated her time to help me with promotion and constantly reinforces how much she believes in me and my dream. She is a real team player.
She is also an avid reader and constantly recommends books; she is an awesome writer and I believe in her potential as writer and future journalist. When she shared her desire of becoming a blogger, instantly I supported the idea and hired her as the official blogger for Canvas of Words and for Wendy Angulo Productions.
I admire her ability to be serene in any situation and always finding a way to keep my sanity lol. I’m a Leo and I have a ferocious attitude that at times need to be subdued and she totally can do that and at the same time encourages me to continue working to achieve my dream and as she says constantly “build my empire” .
She is also dedicated and incredibly smart, I don’t know how she manages it but anything you need to know in any area she can give you a startup information: she is a researcher!
I am so grateful for her friendship and support. I’ve watched her grow since we met and I’m proud of her courage to pursue her own dreams and still have time to help others achieve theirs.
